Google Play Store gets a major update ahead of the i/o 2017

div dir=”ltr” style=”text-align: left;”>An annual Google i/o is here, starting from 17th May. Just like every year, Google has brought some subtle updates to its different products. This time it begins with the Google Play Store app, Google’s premium store for Android Apps, books, movies and much more.

In the latest update Google has dropped the bag from the background of the Google Play Store icon making it solo, check the image of both the icons (before and after). You will receive the update via over-the-air (OTA) within a week depending on your locality.

Along with the removal of the bag, they have also updated the status bar icon which we see when Play Store pushes a notification there. The new Play Store notification is much better & cleaner than its predecessor.

As of now, I have noticed these changes only in Google Play Store App. I will keep updating about the new features as I encounter them in the App/ Website.
