With Intel moving forward with its Processor section , AMD  came up with its affordable desktop processor.  AMD have released the Ryzen 5 series of desktop Processor globally after releasing the Ryzen 7 series in February 2017.

As of now, the Ryzen 5 series currently includes four models, two are 6-core and the res two are 4-core. 

They are 

 A) 1600X,

Here you get 6-cores, 12 threads, 3.6GHz base clock, 4.0GHz boost clock, 4.1GHz XFR clock, 95W TDP.

B) 1600

Here you get 6-cores, 12 threads, 3.2GHz base clock, 3.6GHz boost clock, 3.9GHz XFR clock, 65W TDP 

C) 1500X

Here you get 4-cores, 8 threads, 3.5GHz base clock, 3.7GHz boost clock, 3.9GHz XFR clock, 65W TDP 

D) 1400

Here you get 4-cores, 8 threads, 3.2GHz base clock, 3.4GHz boost clock, 3.45GHz XFR clock, 65W TDP



As of the coolers, the 1600 and 1500X come with Wraith Spire coolers and the 1400 with Wraith Stealth cooler respectively. You can have a look at the cooler provided

AMD is targeting these processors at gamers who also stream simultaneously; Not to mention that this comes with the Latest Vega Technology. Also this can be used as workstation machines that can take advantage of multi-threaded processing of these chips.

Suitable compatible AM4 motherboards are also available from all leading manufacturers.


Verdict :

AMD’s Ryzen give a very tough competition to Intel; Not in terms of Performance but also in terms of Power consumption

Not to mention its 40 % cheaper than the Intel Processors so its the value for money deal; that is prices starts from as low as 10,000 and performance is of Intel I-5 series.
