Google Allo v14.0 : New update adds a quick selfie effect

Google‘s own mobile only messaging platform, Google Allo, is in news for a couple of weeks. There is a news that Google is planning on launching a web version of Google Allo to tackle Facebook messenger and WhatsApp like messaging platform. There is no denying that Google is trying hard to get in this sector very badly. And as a part of it, the search giant provides new features to the app every now and then. This time, in Google Allo v14.0. Google has added some good features to the App.

In this latest update, Google has added a shortcut button for launching camera. Now, instead of opening a full screen for capturing the imgage, Allo displays a small preview of the image before capturing it. You still have an option to view it in a full-screen mode. This will allow a user to access camera for a quick selfie whist chatting with others.

Other notable updates include revamping of the undo button in the image editor with a stickers button. This will allow users to add stickers to the images right from the app. Also, Allo has updated handle icon while interacting with audio clips. It also has updated notification channels to accompany with Android O.
